Coast of Maine Organic Products Dark Bark Mulch is a naturally rich, dark chocolate brown, the result of having been naturally aged for several years. It is made from pine and spruce bark. Because it has begun to break down, it is finer in texture and is more dense. It helps retain soil moisture and suppress weed growth.  There are no dyes in this mulch and it will not fade in color.
